Forever Chemicals 140 times the safe limit in our water!!!
Breaking news just 2 days ago:
'“A so-called “forever” chemical, recently declared carcinogenic by the WHO, has been found in Australia’s tap water at 140 times the maximum level allowed in the United States. This chemical, known as PFOA, is permitted at much higher levels in Australian water due to the Biden administration significantly lowering its safe limits for drinking water. The situation highlights the dangers of such chemicals and underscores the importance of monitoring and regulating water quality globally.”
It just keeps getting worse.
Australia is now pumping chlorine into our drinking water at the maximum allowable rate, and then adding ammonia to combine with chlorine to make chloramine. While they will tell you it’s safe to drink, if anyone who maintains a pool might know, it is essential that no ammonia leaches into a swimming pool as it mixes with chlorine to make chloramine, which is not safe to swim in.
If ever there was any evidence needed to convince anyone of the changes to our drinking water, ask a plumber, ‘how long do hot water heaters last now days?’ The answer is about 5 years. You may, yourself, have noticed your hot water heater failing more often. Remember, they used to last 10 - 15 years.
It’s all the heavy metals from overuse of ground water that is corroding the tanks.
The only solution I see is to buy expensive filters for your entire home, which need to be replaced every year. Of, course not everyone can afford this.
